The Gibson Custom Shop Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul VOS pays homage to the genre of Southern Rock, while supporting a meaningful cause. It features a one-piece mahogany body paired with a two-piece figured maple top, showcasing a unique "Reverseburst" finish which looks exceptionally stunning and hard to justify in the listing photos!
The solid mahogany neck, set with a long tenon, sports a rounded '59 C profile that fills out the back of your hand and feels super comfortable to play! It additionally features a dark Indian rosewood board with 22 medium-jumbo frets, a 24.75" scale length and 12" radius. The guitar comes fitted with PAF-style Custom Bucker Alnico 3 pickups, which sound incredible through both a clean and driven amp.
There's plenty of throatiness in the neck and bite in the bridge! A distinctive feature of this tribute model is the metal "Southern Rock Tribute" cover on the switch cavity at the back of the guitar, with an additional traditional plastic cover included in the case.
This example weighs 8.9lbs and comes fully set up with D'Addario 10-46. It includes its original lifton hardcase, COA and case candy.
