Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass, Laurel Fingerboard, Olympic White Overview

Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass, Laurel Fingerboard, Olympic White Overview.

A tribute to the decade that made the P Bass an icon, the Fender Classic Vibe ‘60s Precision Bass embodies the aesthetics of the original and produces massive tone courtesy of its Fender-Designed alnico split-coil pickup. Player-friendly features include a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style bridge with threaded saddles. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s inspired headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tinted gloss neck finish for an old-school aesthetic vibe.

Read a lot of reviews on this guitar before I purchased, and most people gave rave reviews about it. For the price it is an unbelievable guitar, Squier products have improved massively from the earlier years. I listened on YouTube for a comparison between my 60's squier precision and an original Fender 60's precision, and there wasn't a lot in it, certainly not when you think the original is over £3000. Highly recommended

First p bass I own and a great instrument. Will go through a couple of upgrades but overall very happy with it.

It's a very good starter bass. Made in China, the finish, colour and sound are on a par with the Fender Player brand which is made in Mexico. Not as solid in weight or feel, but half the cost so no issues at the price.

Great sounding rock bass with a very good pickup and great tuning stability. The lovely chunky neck was well set up straight from factory with a low action and no fret buzzes even in the highest registers. The fret dressing was nice and smooth with no rough edges. The open gear tuners are fit for purpose and the bridge lies flat against the body. The only slight negative is a poorly installed volume pot that I will level up when I change the strings to flat wounds in a few months time. The finish on my particular copy was flawless and it looks stunning in Olympic White. After playing mine for a few weeks now, I think the Squire Classic Vibe fully justifies its place near the top of any shortlist of classic 4 string rock basses - it looks like a P Bass, it plays like a P Bass and sounds like a P Bass - what more could you want?

Fantastic bass, I bought this as a backup to my USA Fender Jazz Deluxe and am amazed at the quality, tone and playability of a bass that cost just a fraction of the price.
