JHS Pedals Morning Glory V4 Overdrive Pedal Overview
The Morning Glory V4 is perhaps JHS’s best-known pedal, delivering a low to medium gain overdrive and extra depth to your sound, making it a great addition to your pedalboard. It keeps all the great tones of your amp and adds a natural overdrive, and if your amp isn’t your favourite, it will make up the difference, providing thicker sustain, crunch, tube-like response, and high-gain sizzle, adding an extra dimension to your sound.
The Morning Glory V4 has a simple straight-forward layout with 3 control knobs, Volume, to control the output volume and now pushes up to two times the headroom of the previous model, Drive, letting you adjust how much overdrive comes through, and Tone, which is a basic hi-pass filter that controls the brightness or darkness of the circuit. New for the Morning Glory V4 is a Gain toggle switch, which activates the boost mode to give you more power, low end, and high gain. On the side is a bright-cut switch which removes some of the top-end harshness.
Another feature is a remote jack on the side that lets you connect the JHS Red Remote (not included), a small footswitch that lets you toggle the onboard gain remotely and provides a more medium gain sound. This is great for anyone that wants a transparent overdrive in a portable, compact unit to beef up their sound.

ON-THE-FLY VERSATILITY
An update for the Morning Glory V4 is moving the original’s front-mounted bright-cut switch to the side of the pedal and replacing it with a powerful boost circuit. And by pairing your Morning Glory V4 with the JHS Red Remote (sold separately), you’re able to access the boost mid-song. It’s like having two Morning Glorys in one pedalboard-friendly package.
