A stunning five string Soundgear bass from the Premium stable. Featuring a Mahogany body with a beautifully figured Poplar Burl top the SR2605 has a fifteen (!) piece Atlas neck reinforced with Titanium rods offering super stability. Theres a Panga Panga fingerboard with the fret edges specially rounded for super smooth playing and comfort.
The two passive Nordstrand™ "Big Single" pickups cram as meaty a single coil as can fit in a soapbar style pickup, producing a full-bodied, powerful, aggressive tonal texture, while still retaining the clarity that's characteristic of single coil pickups. These Nordstrands, allied to a Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ w/EQ bypass switch & Mid frequency switch, offer precision tonal control, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypasses activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
There's a Mono-rail V bridge which is the ultimate bridge for bass string isolation. Each bridge is independently and securely locked down to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. other hardware includes a Graph Tech® BLACK TUSQ XL ® nut which offers ultimately lower friction to keep you in tune and gives clearer sound and sustain. And industry standard Gotoh® machine heads offer superior tuning stability. Includes soft case.
