ESP LTD TED-EC Ted Aguilar, Black Overview
Joining the prestigious Signature Series, the LTD TED-EC is the brainchild of Ted Aguilar, the renowned guitarist of Bay Area thrash legends Death Angel. This extraordinary guitar not only delivers powerful tones but also boasts a visually striking aesthetic, featuring a Black finish that sharply contrasts with gleaming white pickup covers, rings, and white pearloid tuners.
Exceptional Design:
Based on the single-cutaway Eclipse shape, the TED-EC incorporates unique design elements that set it apart. The neck-thru-body construction at a 24.75” scale ensures optimal sustain and resonance. The combination of a mahogany body with a maple cap and a thin U-shaped three-piece mahogany neck contributes to both its sonic characteristics and comfortable playability. The Macassar ebony fingerboard hosts elegant mother-of-pearl dot inlays and 24 extra-jumbo frets.
Premium Components:
The TED-EC is equipped with top-notch components to ensure uncompromising performance. It features a recessed Gotoh TOM bridge with string-thru-body design for enhanced tuning stability. The LTD locking tuners provide reliable tuning and easy string changes.
EMG Active Pickups:
Powering the TED-EC’s formidable sound are a set of EMG active pickups. The EMG 81 in the bridge position delivers aggressive and high-output tones, while the EMG 60 in the neck position provides a smooth and expressive response. Both pickups feature white covers that complement the guitar’s overall aesthetic.
