The Walrus Audio Aged Five State Overdrive has a five-position rotary Mode knob with the following modes:
I - A low-gain mode with symmetric silicon soft clipping. Compressed and smooth.
II - A Low-gain mode with symmetric LED soft clipping. Pushed, open, and sparkly.
III - High-gain mode with symmetric silicon soft clipping. Increased saturation and tight.
IV - High-gain mode with symmetric LED soft clipping. Saturated, punchy and big.
V - High-gain mode with symmetric silicon hard clipping. Heavy compression, thick and chewy.

As each setting on the Mode rotary knob changes the internal gain and clipping style, the other controls will then behave slightly different as well, so you need to adjust the volume knob to change the overall output. The Dry knob can be used to blend in the dry signal so you can go from transparent to thick and saturated, a boost/cut Bass knob that hits your signal before it hits the overdrive and a Treble knob that tames the highs.
