Vintage V59MR Icon, Distressed Black Overview
The classically inspired single cut V59 ICON is capable of providing a variety of classic and versatile tones from its simple array of pickups and controls. Offered in Distressed Black with a double bound Eastern Poplar body, and Hard Maple neck and fingerboard, it looks and feels like an old favourite guitar that's spent years in the studio and on the road.
The classically shaped body feels tight and comfortable whilst also providing excellent resonance, tone and ‘correct weight’ comfort, which is enhanced by the incredibly positive feeling neck. The 14" radius fingerboard with 22 Medium profile frets further adds to the guitar's speed, accuracy and excellent playability.
Pickups are two Wilkinson® Single Coils (WVTN in the neck and a WVOB in the bridge). The Single master Volume and Tone controls are as standard for this classic design, and via the 3-way switch, the tones this guitar produces are as sweet and clear, or snarly and growling as any we've come to love and expect from such a guitar.
The simple but highly effective Wilkinson Deluxe WJ55S machine heads adorn the classic Vintage headstock, which when combined with a 43mm Graphite nut, and Wilkinson's excellent WTB intonatable bridge, creates a smooth, stable, and friction free tuning and playing experience.
FeaturesA Vintage ICON electric already looks like your lifetime companion; the best part is, your journey is just beginning. Play on.
What Vintage say:
The V59 ICON is capable of providing a multitude of musical tones from a simple array of pickups and controls and often the answer, when we are stuck for song writing inspiration or to complete that all so important lead line. Offered in Distressed Black and Distressed Sunburst, the V59 Series models with double bound Eastern poplar bodies, hard maple necks and fingerboards, look for all the world like they’ve spent years in the studio and on the road.
A pair of Wilkinson single coils deliver classic tones and the Wilkinson WTB bridge, eliminates tuning and intonation problems often associated with three saddle, fixed bridge designs.
