The Vintage V5000SB-12 Statesboro’, designed by renowned 12-string guitarist and vintage guitar expert Paul Brett, pays homage to the blues era of the 1930s and the legendary Blind Willie McTell.
This guitar captures the spirit of that golden age of blues while incorporating modern updates to meet the needs of today’s players. Inspired by the iconic Stella guitars crafted by Oscar Schmidt in the early 20th century, the Statesboro’ features a solid spruce top paired with maple back and mahogany sides. This tonewood combination delivers a resonant, powerful sound with exceptional volume and tonal clarity. The mahogany neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, providing a smooth playing experience, while the rosewood bridge, bone saddle, and bone nut ensure precise intonation and rich tonal character. Paul Brett describes the guitar as “a homage to the iconic model that Willie himself played,” updated for contemporary musicians but retaining the aesthetic and tonal essence of the 1930s.
With its timeless design and big bluesy sound, the Vintage V5000SB-12 Statesboro’ is a fitting tribute to a pioneering era and an ideal instrument for players seeking authentic vintage-inspired tone and style.
It has been fully set up and re-strung by our in-house technician and does not include a gig bag or hard case.
