Taylor 324ce Grand Auditorium Electro Acoustic Overview

The Taylor 324ce Grand Auditorium Electro Acoustic has a Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides, which has a similar tone profile to mahogany and the richness of rosewood, providing a clear and warm sound with a little top-end shimmer, with a great volume and projection. The hardwood mahogany top delivers a clear and direct focus, providing a bright tone that gradually deepens the more you play and the more time that passes.

The 324ce has Taylor’s signature Grand Auditorium body shape which is a great all-rounder and is ideal both fingerpicking and strumming, with a Venetian cutaway for easier access to the upper frets.

It also features Taylor’s innovative V-Class bracing which improves the volume and sustain, as well as the intonation. The 324ce has a Tropical Mahogany neck, which adds warmth and sweetness to the overall tone, topped with a durable 20-fret West African Crelicam Ebony fretboard, which comes directly from Taylor’s own ebony sawmill in Cameroon called ‘Crelicam’, providing them with a sustainable supply of high-quality ebony to use.

It has Expression System 2 electronics which includes Taylor’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup allowing for a more dynamic range to be captured, and Taylor’s custom-designed professional-grade preamp, which combined provide a natural sound that brings out the acoustic characteristics of the guitar.

The Taylor 324ce is completed with a three-ring rosette, black binding and pickguard, gemstone Italian acrylic inlays, and a shaded edge burst on the mahogany top to provide a natural, rootsy feel.

Includes a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Brown case.

Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Good volume, excellent sustain, looks great and really versatile in regards to different playing styles! Not as pricey as Gibson’s and although I’ve previously played martins, they always seemed to be drowned out if playing in a band etc by other instruments! This Taylor has a great sound and definitely stands out in sound and looks! Wish I bought one years ago! Although I think the V class bracing is a recent development, I haven’t played it side by sided with an X braced version to compare but can’t complain about the volume, especially when finger picking compared to my previous Martin
