- Combo Input 1 with Gain control Great sound quality begins here, with the IXO12’s combo input and a high-quality mic preamp. Connect a microphone via XLR plugs and use the brilliant, transparent sound of the Class-A preamp to capture your voice or acoustic instrument. You can also plug your line level instrument in directly with the 6.3mm plug. With the gain control and the Peak indicator, you can easily dial in the perfect input level for your performance.
- Mute switch When streaming or performing, the mute switch allows you to instantly silence the input signal
- Guitar connector with HI-Z Input 2 allows you to connect high impedance instruments, such as electric guitar or bass. Plug an unbalanced cable into the input 2 jack and record your instrument directly to your computer or iPad with great sound quality.
- Loopback function indicator Loopback is a convenient function for broadcasting over the Internet. It takes the input audio signals (such as microphone and guitar) and audio playing back from your computer software, mixes them within the IXO12 and sends the mixed signals back to the computer. The loopback indicator lights up when this function is active.
- +48 V switch This switch turns the +48 V phantom power needed for condenser microphones on and off. When switched on, phantom power will be supplied via the input 1 XLR jack. (Phantom power should only be used with condenser microphones).
- OUTPUT control and power indicator This adjusts the level of the rear panel main outputs. The power indicator ring lights up when the IXO is receiving power. It will flash continuously if the power supply is insufficient. If this happens, you can use a USB power adapter or a USB battery pack to provide sufficient power.
- MAIN OUTPUT L/R jacks These jacks are for connecting monitor speakers via 6.3mm balanced or unbalanced plugs, for outputting the Mix signal. The volume level is adjusted with the front panel Output control.
- USB 2.0 port (USB-C) Use this USB Type C port to connect to a computer or iOS device*. The IXO is compatible with devices using USB 3.0 and 2.0. A USB Type C to USB-A adapter cable is included. *Apple accessories may be required to connect the IXO with iOS devices.
