Crafted for Comfort and Playability

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster HSS features a thin and lightweight body, making it a comfortable choice for extended playing sessions. The slim and inviting “C”-shaped neck profile ensures a comfortable playing experience that guitarists of all skill levels can appreciate, while the maple neck with satin urethane back finish offers a smooth, played-in feel. The satin finish ensures your fretting hand doesn’t stick to the neck during intense playing sessions.

Stunning Versatility

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster HSS showcases the benefits of an HSS pickup configuration, blending the powerful, high-output tone of a humbucking bridge pickup with the crisp, bell-like clarity of single-coil neck and middle pickups.

This versatile combination allows players to access a wide spectrum of sounds. The HSS configuration offers the best of both worlds, providing the warmth and depth of humbuckers while retaining the brightness and precision of single coils, making it an excellent choice for guitarists seeking versatility in their instrument.

Expressive Tremolo Bridge

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster HSS comes equipped with a 6-saddle tremolo bridge, allowing players to explore expressive vibrato effects and add a unique touch to their sound. This feature enables smooth pitch modulation, granting guitarists the opportunity to add colour to their notes and chords.

Quality Hardware

The Squier Sonic Stratocaster HSS features 21 Narrow Tall frets, providing easy chording and expressive string bends. The synthetic bone nut enhances sustain and string stability, ensuring your guitar stays in tune throughout your performance. Moreover, saddle height and truss rod wrenches are included, allowing you to make adjustments and maintain your instrument with ease.

Featuring sealed-gear tuning machines, the Squier Sonic Stratocaster HSS ensures smooth, accurate tuning for a reliable playing experience. The durable chrome-plated hardware not only looks stunning but also provides long-lasting performance, making this instrument a dependable choice for players at any stage.

Finish Options

Squier presents the Sonic Stratocaster HSS in two sleek finishes - Black and Tahitian Coral.

SSS versions of the Sonic Stratocaster feature a trio of single coils for that quintessential Strat look and sound. Hardtail versions are also available, substituting the tremolo bridge for a simpler hardtail bridge that’s easier to maintain and delivers rock-solid tuning stability.

Good guitar. A bit heavy though.

Really nice guitar. We have to take it for a bit of adjusting, as one of the strings doesn’t sit right in it’s groove. But over all a really nice guitar for very little money. Perfect first electric guitar for my son.

I'm probably not the target market for this guitar, being a fairly experienced player that was looking for a cheap Strat for modding purposes (it also may appeal as a cheap guitar to gig with where you won't be too upset if it gets damaged) However for a beginner (the more likely target for this instrument), this is a great choice, the only two things you should be aware of: 1.The setup out of the box had the action a little high. I spent half an hour setting it up to my preference and it plays pretty well now, however if you don't have the knowledge to do this, any guitar tech worth their salt should be able to do that for you, it shouldn't be expensive to do and may make a world of difference to the enjoyment of the instrument. There are several guitar techs to choose from in central London, so if you live or work in this area, it's well worth doing, will make it feel like a more expensive instrument & be more satisfying to play.. 2.The main thing that gives away the budget nature of this instrument is the pickups, but this is standard for an instrument in this price range. I wasn't bothered by this personally as I intend to add my own choice of pickups anyway, but they do sound a little weak and thin. However, absolutely fine for a beginner who doesn't yet have a preference or knowledge of what type of guitar tones they want. They do have a kind of generic Strat-type tone so they're fine, but as you become a better player, you will probably become more discerning about your tone and will hear the limitations. But by then you will hopefully have the choice of buying a higher quality instrument or changing the pickups to your preference (probably the cheaper option in most cases and again a guitar tech won't charge much to fit these for you) With those two provisos in mind, other than that, wholeheartedly recommended
