Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH ST, Laurel Fingerboard, Shoreline Gold Overview

The Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH ST brings modern features and bold aesthetics to an iconic Fender platform to satisfy today's most discerning and daring players. At the heart of this guitar is a pair of Squier SQR Atomic humbucking pickups with coil-tap and series/parallel switching on the upper control plate for a wide range of genre-defying sonic settings. The roasted maple neck was chosen for its optimal tone and stability, and a sculpted heel design allows for improved access all the way to the 22nd fret. High-performance components round out the feature list and include a fully adjustable bridge with stop tailpiece (ST) for rock-solid string feel, and a set of sealed-gear tuning machines with split shafts for smooth tuning action and easy restringing. Eye-catching styling cues include lustrous chrome hardware and a sleek painted headstock with chrome logos for a premium look.

Beautiful guitar and sounds great, exactly what I wanted being a novice player.

I own several guitars, some far more expensive than this, but the quality of this guitar is absolutely top-notch, it's incredible value for money. It's certainly every bit equal to my Mexican Tele in terms of build quality construction and finish. Firstly, the colour is not as bright gold as online pictures would have you believe. It's more of a dusky muted gold, which I love, but if this could be a dealbreaker for you, I'd advise checking one out for real .The black mirror scratchplate is super cool (as is the etching on the headstock) & the lack of trem didn't bother me (I have other guitars with trems) The neck is superb, very easy to play, plus setup & action were perfect straight out of the box, and of course that body shape...as classic as it ever was, a thing of real beauty. I can't stop smiling when I look at it and it's been a long time since a guitar made me feel that way! I would recommend this guitar to any beginner as a first guitar, or indeed to anyone who can only afford one guitar and want it to cover all bases, it's hugely versatile. The series/parallel switching, the coil tap that gives you single coil tones from the humbuckers, plus the three way pickup selector means you have 12 different tones immediately to hand at the flick of a switch. As you can probably tell, I quite like it... ! Fully & unreservedly recommended, not a single thing to fault.

Versatile switching and good humbuckers.
