Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI, Laurel Fingerboard, 3 Colour Sunburst Overview

Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI, Laurel Fingerboard, 3 Colour Sunburst Overview.

The Fender Classic Vibe Bass VI is a faithful tribute to the secret weapon of producers and adventurous players that have dared to explore it since its original production from 1961 to 1975. Tuned an octave lower than a guitar and featuring a vintage-style tremolo, the Bass VI is the perfect companion to accompany any guitar or bass player into uncharted territory. Player-friendly features include a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a floating bridge with barrel saddles. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s inspired headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tinted gloss neck finish for an old-school aesthetic vibe.

Awesome instrument, one that’s a bit out of the norm

Overall great and unique bass, which - depending on the setup - can also work as a baritone guitar. This bass can be used in any genre, from blues to metal. However, comparing to other Classic Vibe series the quality of this bass is a little bit disappointing. Low E string needs proper setup as there are intonation problems. With the different bridge this would be a great instrument. Anyway, still one of the most interesting basses around. And whammy as a bonus!

My son is in love. This is his 12th instrument. You made a kid very happy.

Pretty much a spot on replica of the original bass Vi. Lots of useable tonal variation from multiple pickup switches. Don’t buy for solely playing bass! That’s not really what it’s for. It’s essentially low (1 octave below standard) tuned guitar.

I previously have had 4 squier guitars out of the Indonesian factory. sold 3 telecasters and the Jazzmaster body has been scrapped due to painting flaws. this bass V1 is value for money.
