Sequential Prophet-6 Synthesizer Module Overview
Sequential’s Prophet 6 is not a reissue of the iconic Prophet 5 - it’s more of a reimagining that encapsulates the best elements of that legendary synth and combines them with modern features such as a syncable LFO, a fully-featured arpeggiator, a polyphonic step sequencer, studio-quality digital effects and more.
Compact Analogue Power
The Desktop version of the Sequential Prophet-6 condenses the same rich analogue sound, tactile interface and array of connectivity of the Keyboard model into a highly portable & compact module. If you need to conserve space in your studio, prefer to sequence from your DAW, have a favoured MIDI controller or simply need a lightweight synth solution for gigging - the Prophet-6 Desktop is a top choice.
An advantage of the Prophet-6 Desktop is that if the four-octave Fatar keyboard of the Keyboard version is too big or too small for your needs, you can hook up the Desktop module to your controller of choice, whether it’s a graded 88-key monster or a slim pad-laden device. Because the Prophet-6’s sound engine features velocity sensitive envelopes, aftertouch and supports MPE, we highly recommend using the Desktop alongside a controller that can make the most of its capabilities.
Double Up
The Sequential Prophet 6 Desktop is more than a lighter and smaller alternative to its keyboard-equipped sibling, it can be a companion to it, too. This is thanks to the Poly Chain mode, which allows you to connect a Prophet Keyboard & Desktop together via MIDI to double the available polyphony. The result is a whopping 12 voices of discrete analog goodness.
Premium Hardware
The P6 module features a rugged & road-ready metal chassis and sleek walnut trim & end cheeks give it the timeless look of a classic synthesizer.
If you told someone in the '80s that you could fit a true analogue Prophet synth into your backpack, they wouldn’t believe you! Today, you can experience the quintessential Sequential sound within a compact instrument that doesn’t compromise on tonal quality or features.
