ProCo RAT 2 Distortion Pedal & Power Cable Converter Bundle Overview
This bundle includes the world famous ProCo RAT 2 Distortion pedal and a A Voodoo Labs Pedal Power cable with a 2.1mm barrel and a 3.5mm mini plug with standard (tip positive) polarity. The 3.5mm mini plug cable connection is compatible with older/vintage MXR, DOD, Electro-Harmonix, Pro-Co (Rat series), Klon Centaur, and vintage (non-LED) Voodoo Lab pedals.
The ProCo RAT 2 Distortion Pedal was introduced in 1988 and continues to be found on countless guitarists’ pedalboards as their go-to distortion pedal. It’s used as a primary distortion pedal that’s great whether you’re playing rock, blues, punk, or jazz. The versatility means you can play soaring leads, rhythm tones, mellow twin, and get ageing English stack tones all with the same pedal. It has an indestructible steel casing, with heavy-duty footswitches, knobs, and jacks, and a sloped face so you can stomp hard on it and not worry about breaking it - this RAT was made to be stomped on. It also has glow-in-the-dark markings on the knobs so it’s easier to see, and makes it stand out.
The RAT 2 has the RAT Filter control, which lets you roll off brittle high-end frequencies by turning it to the right, and you can let the natural brightness of your instrument shine through by turning the filter down. True bypass switching means no extra noise will get into your signal when it’s turned off.
The volume control lets you keep the level consistent with the bypassed clean tone, while the distortion control lets you get just the right amount of gain, so whether you want a fuzzy assault, a metal sound, or something in between, the RAT 2 will cater to all your distortion needs in just one pedal.
