This is a mahogany 6-string guitar banjo with resonator. The VPBG26 features a Pilgrim guitar-style headstock, enclosed Grover-style machine heads and a semi-matt finish, which bring a quality touch to this versatile instrument. It's absolutely ideal for the guitar player who wants to access banjo style tones.
Very solid, and seems good value for the cost. Decent build. Lacked any leaflet on setting up the bridge (but few instruments seem to have that sort of thing nowadays). At the front end it sounds more mellow and guitarish, move further back and you get a good banjo sound. Lots of fun, but probably frowned on by 4 and 5-string purists, and lacking a drone string, of course.
