Ozark 3515E Electro Acoustic Biscuit Resonator Overview

Fitted with a single ‘lipstick’ style pickup for plugging directly into a PA or Amplifier, the Ozark 3515E Black Cutaway Resonator is a great starter instrument for Guitarists looking to explore the sound and unique tonal qualities that the Resonator has to offer. With Mahogany and Spruce used primarily in the body construction, Mahogany back and sides help contribute a bright response, whilst the top of the body mounts a single ‘Biscuit’ Resonator Cone to project the tone in volume. The ‘Biscuit’-Bridge Single-Cone design gets its name from a small wooden disc found in the centre of the cone.

The saddle is also crafted from wood and sits in a slot in the ‘biscuit’. The cone rests on a small ridge on the bottom of a well built into the Guitar body, with string vibrations driven to a single point within the cone, generating stronger fundamental tonal results with less complexity and overtones. Rounded off in a beautifully smooth Black matte finish, the smart features of this great entry-level Resonator make it a fantastic choice for Guitar players looking to purchase their first Resonator who require an easy transition that offers full versatility for playing live.

Not tried it out fully yet but initial thoughts are it's a nice bit of kit. Can't wait to try it out through an amp with a bit of delay and reverb

The sound is extremely dull and dead with no sustain whatsoever and it’s hard to work on. Either I’m tempted to return it or have it set up and have a better bridge to be put there so the guitar begins to come alive!
