Orange Crush 12 Practice Combo, Black Overview

The Orange Crush 12 has 12 watts of power, making it great to use at home. The all-analogue circuitry makes it very articulate compared to other amps of a similar size, so it’s great for players who want to be a little more specific in their tonal requirements.

The Orange Crush 12 has a powerful 3 band EQ which allows for greater control over your sound, with Volume, Gain, and Overdrive knobs. The responsive overdrive control allows you to achieve a wide range of tones, and combined with the Gain, it lets you get the perfect amount of grit in your sound. It also has a great clean tone at high levels with no unwanted distortion or clipping. The Orange Crush 12 has custom 6" Voice of the World speaker giving you the signature Orange sound, even at this size.

The headphone output has the CabSim feature, emulating the tone of a mic’d Orange 4×12″ cabinet through your headphones, and you can practice without disturbing housemates while still getting the great Orange sound, even at low volumes. You can also connect an audio interface to make studio-quality recordings.

The Orange Crush 12 amp is also available in Orange

Fancy an upgrade? The Orange Crush 20 Practice Combo has 20 watts of power, 8" speaker, 3-band EQ, and a CabSim loaded headphone output, emulating the sound of a mic’d Orange 4x12 cabinet.

Alternatively try the Orange Crush 20RT, which has an additional built-in tuner and reverb.

Overview by Orange

The Crush 12 is the smallest of the full-format Crush models designed for guitarists with a no-nonsense attitude to quality analogue tone. This single channel combo features a powerful 3 band EQ and dedicated Overdrive control for tones ranging from crisp and clean through to vintage Orange crunch.

The Crush 12’s custom 6″ Voice of the World speaker ensures the amp always remains punchy and articulate, despite its tiny dimensions. Our new CabSim-loaded headphone output means huge tones at whisper quiet volume, making this combo an ideal practice partner for players of all levels.

ALL ANALOGUE SIGNAL PATH

Our commitment to analogue amplifier circuitry in a digital age ensures Crush amps possess the lively feel and responsiveness that Orange is famous for, inspiring guitarists to play their instruments, not the technology. The Crush 12’s Overdrive control can be used to sculpt a wide range of dirty tones, from sweet and crunchy to rich and thick. The newly voiced EQ section allows for even greater control over your sound.

CABINET SIMULATION

The headphone/line output includes our new CabSim feature, faithfully emulating the sound of a mic’d Orange 4×12″ cabinet loaded with our flagship Voice of the World speakers. Use headphones for silent practice or connect to a mixer/recording console to capture huge, authentic Orange tones in the studio.

VOICE OF THE WORLD SPEAKER

Our own custom designed speakers deliver the perfect balance between modern low end punch and vintage highs, maintaining clarity even when pushed.

CLASSIC ORANGE STYLING

Finished in our legendary livery dating back to 1968, the Crush range features our basket weave vinyl, woven speaker grille cloth, signature ‘picture frame’ edging and iconic hieroglyphs on the control panel.

I was a bit disappointed with this. I watched a video of one being played and it was highly rated and sounded great. Mine sounds nothing like it but that could be my playing! I debated getting a Boss Katana and regret not spending the extra money now.

Decent enough for the price

You really can't go wrong for the price and there's alot of tones you can get even with gain due to it having an overdrive and a gain knob. Blending them can give you really good sounds for something so small.
