Martin DJR-10 Dreadnought Junior Acoustic, Spruce Overview

The Martin Dreadnought Junior is the perfect choice for guitarists who crave the full-bodied sound of a Dreadnought, but want it in a slightly smaller package.

The DJr-10 model boasts a beautiful satin finish sapele back and sides with a lustrous cherry hue, and a satin-finished Spruce top. The neck is expertly hand-rubbed for a smooth feel and optimal playability, featuring a high-performance taper. In addition to its sound and aesthetics, the Dreadnought Junior offers maximum comfort while playing, thanks to its thinner 000 body depth and softer back edges.

And for on-the-go musicians, each Junior comes with a soft gig bag for easy transport. Experience the power and versatility of a Dreadnought in a more manageable size with the Martin Dreadnought Junior.

Guitar received is a Martin djr10-02 which is slightly different. The head is black with silver writing which in my opinion makes the guitar look fake.

Really enjoying my new guitar however I have one complaint and that is why is the action so high? Doesn’t anyone check the guitar and set it up? If I want to have it properly set up it would cost another £45 at GAK and I would have to take it to Brighton!

Absolutely love it. I'm a beginner guitarist and couldn't handle a full size dreadnought guitar . this is so comfortable and playable. Quality guitar from Martin .

A good value guitar (especially for Martin). All solid wood, short scale and comfortable nut width and string spacing. Lightly built with good response. Excellent Richlite fingerboard, nut cut perfectly, frets immaculate. Body size I would estimate is in the 00 ball park although a different shape. Even response, so good for fingerpicking. The only con is the fact that I didn't like the Martin Retro strings so replaced them with Elixirs.
