Martin D-21 Dreadnought Acoustic, 1968, Second-Hand Overview
We’ve had the pleasure of bringing in some incredible acoustic guitars recently and this Martin D-21 from 1968 is no exception!
This example features a stunning Brazilian rosewood back and sides coupled with a Sitka Spruce top. It sounds exactly as you’d imagine an almost 60 year-old Martin to; incredibly lively and responsive with plenty of note separation. This would make the perfect studio guitar!
It shows small dinks and chips all over the body, and the finish across the top has checked beautifully throughout, there is no damage that compromises its structural integrity however.
We believe the guitar to have had a neck reset at some stage in its life, as playability is no issue here! Whether you’re playing chords or single note lines, you won’t feel like you’re fighting against the guitar to bring the best out in it.
Its previous owner fitted a K&K puremini pickup and it comes protected in a non-original modern Martin hardshell case, we have factored these alterations into the cost of the guitar.
This is a great opportunity to obtain a highly coveted vintage Martin at a competitive price!
