M-Audio Hammer 88 USB MIDI Controller Keyboard Overview
The Hammer 88 is a velocity-sensitive, fully weighted 88-key Keyboard controller from M-Audio, perfect for anybody from beginners, all the way through to professional players.
The keyboards modulation and pitch wheels give you the ability to add a variety of effects to your performance on the fly. M-Audio has also given you the option to midi-map the Volume Fader to any parameter on your DAW of choice, giving you the ability to create some really interesting effects when you are performing.
On the back of the unit, you will find a 5-pin MIDI output, opening up a whole host of other opportunities. The MIDI output allows you to connect the keyboard to other compatible devices such as hardware synths, sound modules
The Hammer 88 is completely plug-and-play, so setup is nice and simple. Just plug it straight into your Mac/PC via a USB cable and you're good to go. The keyboard is also iOS compatible and can be used with an iPad or iPhone by connecting it with an Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit.
