Line 6 Relay G10S II Guitar Pedalboard Digital Wireless System Overview

The powerful & pedalboard-friendly Relay G10S II (v2) wireless system from Line 6 is both highly compact and feature-packed. Combining excellent value for money with a robust build-quality, crystal clear sound and easy operation, the Relay G10S II is one of the best wireless solutions out there.

Fantastic Flexibility

Whilst the Relay G10S II offers seamless integration into your pedalboard, it can also operate as a standalone unit. With an astounding 40m/130ft line-of-sight range, you can perform unrestricted on any stage you find yourself on. Active and passive pickup users are catered for with the Relay G10S II, as it performs equally well with both types. If you own a Relay G10, G30, G50, G55, or G90 owner, your G10S will be compatible.

Effortless Setup

A huge advantage of Line 6’s Relay G10S v2 is how easy it is to get it set up - all you have to do is switch it on and you’re away. After powering the Relay G10S v2 on, it automatically identifies and locks on to the optimal wireless frequency. There’s also the option to manually edit the frequency choice, though you will very rarely need to.

Pristine Sound

One of the features that set the Line 6 Relay G10S II apart from the competition is its pro-grade, interference-free & lossless 24-bit digital audio. Delivering an astounding 10Hz-20kHz frequency response, the detail, richness and nuance of your instrument - including those with an extended range - will be accurately conveyed.

Versatile Outputs

The versatile Relay G10S II boasts two outputs - a traditional 1/4" jack that you can hook up to your amplifier or 'board and a balanced XLR out that enables you to use the G10S II as a wireless DI unit. This is particularly handy when used alongside an instrument that would typically be connected to a PA directly, such as a bass or acoustic guitar.

Made To Perform, Built To Last

Whilst lesser wireless units are confined to flimsy plastic housings (which aren’t ideal for performing), the Relay G10S v2 boasts a tough metal enclosure that can easily handle life on the road. Thanks to handy indicators that are located on the unit, you can monitor the RF and the remaining battery level on the fly.

Straightforward Powering

Conveniently, the Line 6 Relay G10S II system uses a 9V DC power input. This gives you the option to run the Relay G10S II from either your 'boards power supply or the 9V adapter that comes with it. From a single charge, the G10S II gives you up to 7 hours of playing time and up to 170 hours on standby. The G10S II intelligently senses when you’ve stopped playing and switches to sleep mode. When it's time to recharge before your next show, simply insert the G10TII into the Relay G10S II receiver - the charging begins automatically.

With their Relay G10S, Line 6 have designed one of the best digital wireless systems on the market. It’s dead easy to set up, sounds top-notch, comes in a compact form factor and - best of all - comes in at an affordable price. If you’re in the market for a wireless setup that can give you the flexibility of either pedalboard or standalone operation, the Relay G10S is a brilliant choice.

I wanted a wireless unit similar to the now-discontinued Samson Airline. I already own an old Samson wireless that's a box and belt-pack type but preferred the Airline's simplicity. The Line6 was the closest I could find. Works well, long-range and if you want it, has a "cable emulator" presumably if you like the sound of cables. I've only recently purchased it so haven't really put it to any real test but very pleased so far.
