Line 6 Helix Floor Guitar Processor Pedal Overview
The Line 6 Helix Floor is one of the best multi-effects units around and can meet the requirements of the most demanding guitarists. Whether you’re on a stage, in a studio or just practising in your bedroom - the Helix Floor will excel at anything you throw at it.
Helix 3.60 Update - New Amps, Cabs & Effects
The Helix 3.60 firmware update and Helix Native plugin software update bring new additions to the Helix and HX hardware devices. Three new amplifiers, including the Grammatico GSG, seven new guitar speaker cabinets, two new bass cabs, and two new effects are included in the update. These updates add to the already extensive range of sound options available to guitarists and bassists using Helix and HX hardware devices.
Incredible Sonic Authenticity
Powered by dual-DSP processing and utilising Line 6’s innovative HX modelling technology, the Helix Floor is capable of delivering the authentic nuance and analogue character of the classic hardware that it’s emulating.
The amplifier models boast a stunning dynamic response, the pedals have had their individual components painstakingly replicated for unbelievable accuracy (the “Transtronic” process) and the cabinets have a high-resolution and beautiful low-end detail. You can choose from sixteen mics to place at twenty-three different positions as well as import your own impulse responses for further tweakability of your tone.
The sheer amount of under-the-hood power also allows for four stereo signal paths per preset, up to eight snapshots per preset (instantly recall an alternate version of a patch) and up to thirty-two simultaneous effects (depending on how DSP-intensive the effects are). With this capability, you’re able to construct an insane guitar-rig with multiple routings that would cost ten times more than the Helix Floor.
Take Control Of Helix
Thanks to Helix Floor’s intuitively designed user interface, creating the rig of your dreams is fun and effortless. With Pedal Edit mode, you can keep both of your hands on the guitar whilst adjusting parameters on the fly with the built-in expression pedal. With the capacitive-touch footswitches, all you have to do is touch it when you want to instantly adjust parameters. You can assign any item to any switch in about three seconds! Handy customisable scribble strips let you know how each of the twelve footswitches is allocated at a glance and the coloured LED rings indicate what effect type is in use.
Supercharge Your Setup
With an impressive array of I/O options available - including MIDI, XLR, USB and S/PDIF - the Helix Floor can be the nerve centre of your live and studio arsenal.
If you’re looking to integrate the Helix Floor into an existing setup, the four send and four return ports can be assigned as four mono/two stereo effects send (so you can easily connect your individual pedals) or flexible inputs and outputs that can be freely assigned. For example, you can feed a virtual version of your rig into the PA and separately send the Helix effects into your onstage amp - giving you the best of both worlds!
When used connected to USB, the Helix Floor can be used as an 8-in/8-out audio interface. It has a stunning, studio-quality mic preamp that features the same tech as Line 6’s StageScape series.
Built Like A Tank
All this unbelievable tech is housed within a robust aluminium chassis and the footswitches are tour-grade so they’ll be able to withstand your stomping for years to come.
Efficient Editing
The free Helix software editor is available if you want the ability to edit your presets, rename the footswitch labels, develop complex signal paths and much more on your computer.
Join The Legends
With world-class players such as Steve Howe (Yes, Asia), Vernon Reid (Living Colour), Billy Sheehan (Mr Big, Steve Vai) and Tosin Abasi (Animals As Leaders) having used the Helix Floor as part of their touring rig, you’ll be in fantastic company as a Helix Floor user.
