The Jackson American Series Soloist SL3 represents a triumphant return back to the iconic US guitar builder’s roots. This model is the first in the made-in-Corona range and is an exciting sign of what’s to come. Before this all-new line-up, players who were after a USA-built Jackson would have to wait around two years. With the introduction of the flagship American Series, Jackson have made these professional, stage-ready instruments more accessible than ever.

Serious Stability

The core of the American SL3 is an agile Alder body that’s been contoured for optimal playing comfort. Alder is a classic tonewood that’s renowned for its superb tonal balance and resonance. A three-piece Maple neck is paired with the body using a through-body construction for enhanced sustain. The neck is bolstered by a pair of graphite-reinforcement rods for superior stability and resistance to warping and bending. This is particularly handy if you’re taking your American SL3 between different climates, where variances in temperature and humidity can negatively affect your guitar.

Rapid Playability

Topping the Maple neck is a buttery-smooth Ebony fretboard that boasts rolled edges for maximum playing comfort. The fretboard’s 12"-16" compound radius is tailored for lightning-fast playing and gradually flattens as you ascend the 24 Jumbo frets for truly expressive, singing string bends. Glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots guide you whilst performing on a dark stage whilst the inverse mother-of-pearl sharkfin inlays complete the classic Jackson look. A heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel makes neck relief tweaks quick and easy.

Seymour Duncan Pickups

As you’d expect on a premium US-made instrument such as this, the Jackson American Series Soloist SL3 is equipped with high-output Seymour Duncan pickups in an HSS configuration for maximum versatility. The bridge position packs a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker that roars with attitude and aggression. The neck and middle feature a Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP single-coils that can cover both fat, chunky tones and crisp, glassy tones with ease. A five-way blade pickup switch, master volume and tone control provides instant access to a wide variety of sounds.

That’s why Jackson have outfitted the Americal Soloist SL3 with an array of premium hardware. A Floyd Rose 1500 series double-locking tremolo bridge system ensures ultra-stable tuning - no matter how extreme your dive bombs are. Gotoh MG-T locking tuners make re-stringing a lot quicker as no winding is required. Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons keep the guitar secure during the most intense performance.
