Ibanez UB804 Upswing Electric Upright Bass, Mahogany Oil Burst Overview
The very talented designers and luthiers of Ibanez’s ‘Bass Workshop’ department have been at it again! This time they have come up with the UB804 or “Upswing”, which is Ibanez’s very first electric upright bass. The special AeroSilk Piezo pickup, along with the Walnut, Maple, and Jatoboa woods, combine to create a tone that is incredibly warm and true to the voicing of an acoustic upright bass.
The custom AeroSilk Piezo pickup is a specially modified piezo system that detects the vibrations of the strings that vibrate in different shapes, and then outputs the signals at an equalized level, whether bowing or fingerpicking. Includes a TAMA® Roadpro stand and padded gig bag that can carry the bass and stand with room for a bow too if you use one.
