The RGDRB71 is Ibanez’s ultimate metal-focused guitar, engineered for the unique demands of down-tuning. To achieve the thick, powerful tone of lower tunings, this model features a 26.5” extended scale. While longer than a standard guitar, it retains the “fast” neck design ideal for speed-focused soloing. The guitar’s extra-deep cutaways provide effortless access to the highest frets, ensuring complete playability across the neck.

Iron Label guitars are stripped of anything unnecessary, emphasizing aggressive tones, high-performance electronics, and durable construction. This next-generation Iron Label model features all-black aesthetics and precision electronics to deliver some of the most intense metal tones possible.

The guitar’s Wizard II Roasted Maple neck undergoes heat treatment to enhance stability, moisture resistance, and tolerance for temperature changes. An ebony fretboard provides tight lows, strong midrange, and quick high-end response, while jumbo frets ensure smooth playability for both chords and single-note runs. The body, crafted from Nyatoh, adds a rich mid-low tonal profile.

Equipped with DiMarzio® D Activator™ pickups, the RGDRB71 delivers a clean, powerful sound with tight low-end response and excellent harmonic overtones. A coil-tap switch adds versatility, allowing for expanded tonal options. The Mono-Rail bridge enhances sustain and minimizes string-to-string interference, while Gotoh® MG-T locking machine heads ensure incredible tuning stability and faster string changes.
