This model is part of the Ibanez RGD Prestige range, which are designed to have a slightly longer scale (by 1 inch) for people who like to down tune their guitar without losing tone, and being a Prestige model means it’s crafted using the best luthiers, materials and processes. This is a 7-string with an Ash body and a Wizard-7 Maple and Wenge neck, which has a KTS titanium rod reinforcement.
The bound Macassar Ebony fretboard has Prestige fret-edge treatment which gets rid of the sharp fret ends, off-set luminlay dot inlays, and also luminlay side dots, making it ideal for low lighting conditions. For the pickups, it has two DiMarzio Fusion Edge 7 humbuckers, a mono-rail hardtail bridge, a Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut which increases tuning stability. The look is completed with a Richlite top, which is a smooth synthetic resin material, making it durable and modern, and a Natural Flat finish.
