The JEM7VP features an alder body that is both lightweight and durable, making it ideal for live performances and rigorous playing.
The five-piece maple and walnut Wizard neck offers superior playability and stability, reinforced with titanium rods to ensure resilience in any climate. The ebony fretboard, treated with Ibanez’s premium fret edge technique, ensures smooth, comfortable movement along its jumbo frets. The signature Tree of Life inlay enhances the guitar's unique and striking appearance. For sound, the JEM7VP is equipped with a trio of DiMarzio Evolution pickups: humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions, and a single coil in the middle.
These pickups deliver precise, powerful tones designed to cut through dense mixes. The bridge humbucker offers aggressive and tight low frequencies, the neck humbucker is rich and punchy, and the single coil adds versatility with its thinner, distinct tonality.
The hardware is just as impressive. The Edge tremolo bridge, designed by Gotoh, provides smooth action, comfort, and reliability, capable of withstanding the extreme divebombs and flutters that Steve Vai is famous for. The Lion's Claw trem cavity allows for easy action adjustments, minimizing setup time and maximizing playability.
