Ibanez AS53L Artcore Hollow Body, Tobacco Flat, Left Handed Overview
If you’re a lefty and are in the market for an affordable semi-hollow electric, we can’t recommend the Ibanez AS53L more highly! The Tobacco Flat finish and Chrome hardware give it a no-frills, road-ready aesthetic.
This is a robust, resonant guitar with quality and features where it counts. The Sapele body has a similar tonal quality to mahogany, which is known for its warmth and mid-range, with additional high-end clarity. This is complemented by the sturdy Nyatoh neck and Walnut fretboard, which strikes a sonic balance between the bell-like Maple and the darkness of Rosewood. The result is a balanced guitar with a distinctive character that sets it apart from other guitars in its price range.
The Ibanez AS53L packs dual Infinity R humbuckers - they’ve got plenty of power and punch whilst being able to clean up for more mellow tones. Tuning stability and spot-on intonation is provided by the Gibraltar Performer bridge, which also boasts low-positioned saddles for improved playability, and the Quik Change III tailpiece, which makes changing strings a breeze!
