The Ibanez AAD170CE is an electro-acoustic guitar that’s part of the Advanced Acoustic series, and has a solid Sitka spruce top, a North American tonewood that provides a broad dynamic range and crisp articulation. The Ibanez AAD170CE has a rounded ovangkol fretboard, providing a smooth playing experience, Ibanez Advantage bridge pins which are easier to take out and put in than traditional bridge pins, so restringing is simple, as well as a compensated bone saddle. For electronics, there’s an Ibanez AP11 magnetic pickup at the end of the fretboard, and an Ibanez Custom Electronics preamp.

The Ibanez AAD170CE Advanced Acoustic represents an important step forward in the long and storied tradition of the acoustic guitar. In what amounts to a fully reimagined acoustic experience, these instruments were designed from the ground up to deliver a richer, brighter, and louder tone, with an unprecedentedly wide dynamic range. With slightly larger than typical proportions, we decided to name this new body shape the “Grand Dreadnought”. This reinvented design achieves a superb, powerful sound, and thanks to the extensive consideration given to the ergonomics, it’s extremely comfortable to play.
