Only had them a few days and not given them a good trial but first impressions are that they are SOLID and hold their position really well. Clever engineering to hide the boom arm inside the main stand and makes the whole package more compact when folded up. I get the feeling I won't need to replace it for many a year. More than 3 times the price of a budget mic stand but for the great build quality, ease of use and handling, feature set and perceived longevity, I won't look anywhere else.

SUPER robust and strong which is great, but it’s pretty fixed in where you have to use it position-wise which is often really frustrating. (The main pole doesn’t twist at all so you have to move the feet to turn it which is problematic for pedal board/tablet holder clamp etc. The boom arm also doesn’t have the range of movement that others do. It is great to not constantly have the thing collapse and pinch fingers though!) The way the boom folds into the main pole like drum hardware is great though! Much cleaner/safer to transport!

Excellent, will always buy Hercules. This fold away boom stand is perfect for all studio and stage situations.
