It is a little heavy for a mic stand, probably I don't have a weighted mic stand. Though holds the tablet I use solidly.

I've bought a few cheap holders and they were rubbish, this however is fantastic, you definitely get what you pay for, this is solid and my iPad isn't moving anywhere in this.
