The Gibson 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue is a meticulously crafted recreation of the original 1958 Les Paul "Burst," capturing the defining elements of this classic instrument's first Cherry Sunburst model. The Reissue’s features include a solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany body paired with a lightly figured maple top, highlighting the beauty of the center-seam "book matched" top, typical of '50s models. The neck is a quarter-sawn mahogany, sporting a chunky, rounded '50s profile for a rich, resonant tone and sustain, augmented by a long-tenon neck joint and a one-piece rosewood fingerboard. As part of Gibson Custom's 20th Anniversary Specifications, the Reissue includes accurate Kluson Deluxe tuners, hot-hide glue neck fitting, an aniline dye finish under a nitrocellulose lacquer, and precise historic truss rod assembly. The Custom Buckers are designed in homage to original PAF pickups, delivering that classic "bite" with Alnico III magnets and 42 AWG wire windings. Bumble Bee tone caps further refine the tone for a warm, “woman tone” when rolled back.
Finished in the iconic Kindred Burst Fade, only 23 of these Reissues exist globally. This exclusive finish draws inspiration from a famous 1959 Les Paul, well-known among collectors and once played by legends like Joe Perry and Slash.
The guitar has been fully set up, restrung and deep cleaned by our in-house technician and includes its original lifton-style case complete with all accessories and COA.
