The Framus AZ-10 is a masterfully crafted instrument that combines premium materials, expert craftsmanship, and timeless aesthetics. It features Framus locking tuners for precise and reliable tuning, paired with a Graphtech black TUSQ low-friction nut to ensure smooth playability and consistent performance.
The neck is made from European flamed maple, providing a striking visual appeal and robust tonal qualities, while the tigerstripe ebony fingerboard offers a smooth playing surface with traditional custom inlays made from mother of pearl for a touch of elegance. The fingerboard has a 305mm (12") radius, a 43mm (1.7") nut width, and a scale length of 628mm (24.75"), making it ideal for comfortable chording and articulate lead playing.
With 21 jumbo frets crafted from nickel silver, the guitar benefits from IFT (Invisible Fretwork Technology) and plek fretwork, ensuring flawless fret alignment and exceptional playability. The body features a carved top and back crafted from solid AAAA European flamed maple, paired with a select solid arched Alpine spruce top for outstanding tonal resonance and projection. The construction uses a set neck design for enhanced sustain and smooth access to higher frets. This guitar is equipped with an MEC floating Jazz humbucker pickup, delivering warm and articulate tones perfect for jazz and other clean styles.
The controls for volume and tone are elegantly integrated into the tigerstripe ebony pickguard, maintaining the instrument's sleek appearance. The bridge system includes a height-adjustable compensating ebony bridge and a floating tailpiece for precise intonation and tonal clarity.
