Fender Shields Blender Fuzz Octave Pedal Overview

If you’re an adventurous guitarist who loves to paint expansive auditory landscapes that traverse genres, this pedal is your new secret weapon. Whether you are a solo artist experimenting with textures or a band member laying down some serious shoegaze riffs, the Fender Shields Blender is your ticket to achieving rich, blendable fuzz tones.

Meet the Fender Shields Blender Fuzz Octave Pedal, an outcome of four painstaking years of collaboration between Fender and legendary guitarist Kevin Shields of My Bloody Valentine. For the guitarist with an insatiable thirst for dynamic and inspiring fuzz, this Kevin Shields signature pedal fits the bill. Boasting meticulously hand-traced circuitry, the Shields Blender recreates the vintage 1970s Fender Blender that powered so many iconic alternative rock sounds.

The Original, Improved

The Shields Blender signature pedal is an evolved and enhanced version of the original Fender stompbox. The addition of four easily accessible footswitches allows you unprecedented control over your fuzz tone whilst playing.

Separate channels with individual level controls permit blending of the raw fuzz voice with your clean signal and a robust suboctave fuzz. Intrigued by sputtering or ducking effects? The Reactive Voltage Sag, controlled by your picking dynamics, provides just that.

Versatility in a Durable Shell

Housed in a custom, roadworthy chassis inspired by the aesthetics of the '70s and equipped with top-mounted jacks, this effects pedal embodies both style and durability. It includes true-bypass switching to preserve your tonal integrity when disengaged.

I have an original Fender Blender from the 70s and this product can do what the original can do and more. Although it takes a few reads of the instructions, all eventually becomes clear with a little experimentation.
