Three Models

There are three models in this limited-edition range - a Telecaster, a Jazzmaster and a Jazz Bass. Each model is available in two sleek, nostalgia-inducing finishes. Every guitar and bass in the Fender Gold Foil Collection range boasts a truly distinctive look and tone thanks to their DeArmond-inspired Gold Foil pickups. This type of pickup is well-regarded amongst vintage guitar fans, thanks to its, bright, crisp and defined tonal character with incredible string-to-string definition. The Telecaster and Jazzmaster models are equipped with mini-humbuckers whilst the Jazz Basses are outfitted with a punchy single-coil.

Premium Specs

In addition to the special pickups that give the range its name, the Gold Foil Collection series uses tonewoods that break the Fender tradition. The Tele and JM models feature Mahogany bodies, instead of the more common Alder used with Mexican-made Fenders, which further enhances their unique tone. All the models in the Gold Foil Collection have buttery-smooth Ebony fretboards, Maple necks carved to a comfortable '60s “C” profile.
