We currently have a fantastic selection of pre-owned Fender custom shop guitars in, and this Wildwood '10 1969 Stratocaster from 2016 is no exception! It is finished in a stunning pink paisley nitrocellulose lacquer and has been very tastefully aged, with light checking throughout, plus some very convincing arm wear, and distressing to the back of the body. The real star of the show here is the neck however, which is quarter-sawn and sports the infamous John English '59 'C' profile neck which fills out the back of your hand and is endlessly comfortable to play, it measures .860" at the first fret and ."980 at the 12th. It additionally features sanko 6105 narrow and tall frets which further facilitate playing comfort.
For electronics, it features a trio of Wildwood '10 hand-wound strat pickups, coupled with a 5-way pickup selector and 'vintage modern 2' wiring. The guitar sounds fantastic in all positions with a particularly juicy sounding neck pickup! The original customer had additionally requested for the guitar to weigh under 7 3/4lbs and be fitted with a big, bold '98 68-69 Malmsteen headstock decal too!
The guitar is a personal favourite amongst all of the second-hand team and is definitely worth your attention. It weighs 7.6lbs, comes fully re-strung and set up by our in-house technician and includes its original hard case, COA and shop floor traveller!
