Fender presents the Cory Wong Stratocaster, a guitar that pays homage to the renowned guitarist, producer, and arranger Cory Wong. Recognised for his incredible funk chops and inventive lead work, Cory’s soulful playing with Vulfpeck and his Grammy-nominated solo career has earned him a dedicated following and led to sold-out arena performances. The Cory Wong Stratocaster is a tribute to his favourite Fender, modified to meet the funk master’s needs.

Recreating the Iconic Look and Feel

The Cory Wong Stratocaster features a satin lacquer finish that faithfully recreates the look and feel of Cory’s beloved original Strat. Designed with comfort in mind, it boasts a slightly smaller alder body compared to a typical Stratocaster. This scaled-down body, combined with the American Ultra™ Modern “D” neck and sculpted body contours, delivers an exceptionally comfortable playing experience.

Mastering Cory’s Distinctive Tone

To capture Cory Wong’s distinctive tone, the Cory Wong Stratocaster is equipped with a set of Seymour Duncan Cory Wong Clean Machine™ pickups. These pickups provide classic Strat quack and chime while being fine-tuned to achieve the signature Cory Wong sound. From silky-smooth cleans to punchy funk rhythms, for unmatched versatility.

Enhanced Features

Every aspect of the Cory Wong Stratocaster has been meticulously crafted to elevate your playing experience. The guitar features a maple neck with a subtly modified headstock shape, a rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges, and a compound 10-14" radius for effortless navigation across the fretboard. The vintage-style 6-screw synchronized Tremolo ensures pitch-perfect vibrato, while the deluxe locking tuners provide improved tuning stability and easy string changes.
The push/push pot on Tone 2 bypasses the 5-way switch and defaults to “Position 4,” offering quick access to the desired tone at your fingertips.

The guitar comes with a Cory Wong hair tie, allowing you to achieve his signature rhythm tone by muting the tremolo springs. The package also includes a rubber straplock washer set and a custom neck plate.
