The Epiphone Emperor Regent is an archtop guitar featuring a 17-inch lower bout and a single floating pickup with pickguard-mounted controls. It differs slightly from the Emperor model, which has two top-mounted pickups, while the Regent has one floating pickup. The Emperor Regent was first introduced in 1939 and was at the pinnacle of Epiphone's archtop line, and this modern reissue takes direct inspiration from the original design and offers fantastic value for money! The Regent reissues feature laminate maple back and sides. Maple necks with an added scarf joint for stability in addition to an Indian rosewood bridge and bound fingerboard. The hardware includes gold-colored sealed tuners and a classic Epiphone Frequensator tailpiece. A single 'Johnny Smith' style mini humbucker is mounted to the fingerboard tag, with controls on the pickguard and an output wire through the treble F hole to the side-mounted jack. It comes fully set up, weighs 6.67lbs. Comes with Epiphone Hard-case
