DiMarzio DP130 Acoustic Model Piezo-Electric Transducer Overview
The Acoustic ModelGäó is a piezo-electric transducer that can be mounted in any location on the guitar's top. A non-hardening putty is used to mount the pickup, allowing simple installation and removal. Every acoustic guitar has its own balance of highs, mids and lows, and it's easy to experiment with the position of the Acoustic ModelGäó to determine the spot that achieves the best tone for your taste. It can also be semi-permanently mounted on the inside face of the guitar and connected to an acoustic endpin jack, so it's practically invisible. The Acoustic ModelGäó works on all steel, bronze, and nylon string instruments.
The right item for me .
Very easily installed and can be easily moved to vary the tone.
Performs well on my inexpensive acoustic, once it was in the right position it stays in place well giving a good response once the amp is tuned in with it. Has a good long lead with fitted jack plug. Would not want to move around a great deal on stage with it.
I do not gig anymore (too old!) so high volume is not an issue.
Feedback happens at high vol if you can’t control that, a preamp may be useful.
Very pleased with this item the bonus is it is affordable too.
