Reminiscent of West Coast surf-style, the Danelectro Hodad Guitar remains true to its iconic tone. This double-cut reissue retains the original mid-50s body shape while enhancing its visual appeal with satin nickel hardware.
The twin alnico-powered Lipstick case pickups, featuring warmer spec windings, deliver sweeter tones and a slightly hotter output. These pickups are inspired by the original Lipstick pickups introduced by Danelectro founder Nathan Daniel in 1947. Pearloid dot inlays on the rosewood fingerboard complement the hardware, along with simple volume and tone controls.
