Charvel MJ So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR, Maple Fingerboard, Gloss Black Overview
Harkening back to the late '80s when Charvel guitars were manufactured exclusively in Japan, we introduce the all-new MJ Series - an exciting lineup of instruments attentively crafted in Japan. Exquisite in style, the MJ Series blends Charvel's unparalleled legacy of designing high-performance instruments with an assortment of top-end features and stunning finishes.
The MJ So-Cal Style 1 HSS FR M is a state-of-the-art axe to be reckoned with. The alder body features a sculpted shredder's cut heel for comfortable upper fret riffing, and is paired to a graphite-reinforced bolt-on maple neck with a hand-rubbed urethane back finish. Catering to seamless chording or swift solos, the 12""-16"" compound radius maple fingerboard features comfortable rolled edges, 24 jumbo frets and black dot inlays. Neck relief adjustments are pain free, courtesy of the conveniently located heel-mount truss rod thumbwheel.
An HSS pickup configuration of a direct mount Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucking bridge pickup radiates unmistakable upper midrange attack with sublime highs and articulated lows. Direct mount Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 bridge and neck pickups strike the perfect balance between increased output and dynamic Strat character.
Other premium features include a five-way blade switch, volume control, no-load tone control, Gotoh GE1996T Series double-locking tremolo, Gotoh die-cast tuners and more.
This classically styled So-Cal instrument is decked out with chrome hardware and available in either a Gloss Black finish with white pickguard or Snow White finish.
