Caroline Parabola Tremolo Pedal Overview
Welcome to the Parabola, your rig’s new “tremolo channel,” designed to bring you a sumptuous and sloshy transistor-based LFO.
In this pedal, the Havoc feature increases the speed and depth of the effect, giving you the power to add a little juice to your tremolo. Simply hit the Havoc switch and hold it down to go beyond your settings temporarily, then release it to return to your original setup. Alternatively, set the depth control all the way off, and you can use the Havoc for momentary bursts of tremolo, adding an element of surprise and excitement to your performance.
One of the key aspects of the Parabola is its remarkable sound quality. Caroline Guitar Company have successfully captured the lush sound of the old Schaller TR-68’s transistor-based oscillator, which boasts a unique “Wim Wenders/Hal Hartley early days of indie film soundtracks” vibe. However, they’ve addressed the issues present in the originals, such as input loading and volume drop during use. By improving the input impedance and gain staging, we’ve retained the captivating sound and vibe of the originals while enhancing its usability for both recording and live performances.
The improved speed ranges now offer slow speeds reminiscent of AC-30 amps to rapid speeds surpassing Fender® “Silverface” levels. The depth control offers intriguing nuances even before 3:00, allowing you to explore a wide range of sonic possibilities. And when it comes to the AM/FM modes, you’ll be astounded by the subtle, beautiful, and less intrusive frequency-based modulation that adds a touch of magic to your playing.
Parabola is a truly unique and captivating tremolo pedal, offering a sound and vibe that might not be for everyone but is certainly something we find specific and beautiful. Embrace the lush tremolo waves and explore the new horizons of sound with the Parabola. Its analog and transistor-based design delivers unparalleled sonic charm and will elevate your music to new levels of creativity and expression.
