The second-generation of the Yamaha HS series combines the pristine, high-resolution sound that the monitors are renowned for with an innovative resonance-busting enclosure and upgraded transducers for a smoother response.
Compact Monitoring
The Yamaha HS5 active studio monitor features the most compact form factor and lightest weight out of all the models in the HS range, making it ideal for bedroom producers, small studio spaces and engineer’s on-the-go that need an easy to transport monitoring solution. The HS5 also comes in at the most affordable price point if you’re looking to buy a professional-quality studio monitor on a budget.
Suited To Small Spaces
Compared to the larger HS7 and HS8, the Yamaha HS5 low-frequency response doesn’t extend quite as far due to its more portable size. This is a huge advantage if your control room or home studio isn’t acoustically treated, as unruly bass frequencies can be tricky to manage and can affect your decision-making when mixing the lows.
New Extension
Like the HS7 and HS8, the HS5 can be hooked up to the Yamaha HS8S subwoofer if you need a major low-end extension - perfect for electronic music producers and mixers! Whilst any compatible sub can be hooked up to the HS5, the HS8S has been specially voiced to compliment HS series monitors. If you want to be able to hear lower frequencies without the need for a subwoofer, the larger onboard woofers on the Yamaha HS7 and HS8 can provide that extra depth.
Feature Presentation
Yamaha’s HS5 studio monitor is identical to its bigger siblings features and construction-wise, including the handy Room Control filters, multiple connectivity options and newly-designed enclosure which busts unwanted vibrations that can colour your sound.
The HS5 also comes in a sleek Black and as a Matched Pair for optimal sonic performance.
Boasting truly exceptional audio performance at an affordable price, the Yamaha HS nearfield monitor series remains immensely popular amongst producers, engineers and artists alike.
