AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 Digital DJ Controller Overview

The DDJ-GRV6 is a next-generation 4-channel DJ controller that’s compatible with both rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro. It includes the new Groove Circuit feature (available in rekordbox) which DJs can use to easily remix drum parts and perform remixes on the fly. When used with Serato DJ Pro, the DDJ- GRV6 can manipulate and separate Stems using the Stems FX feature.

Next-generation 4-channel DJ Controller

The DDJ-GRV6 is the ideal controller for DJs who want to get more creative and make their own live remixes and mashups. It also helps DJs to get a feel for playing on club-standard equipment so they’ll feel at home in the booth when playing at clubs and other venues.

Groove Circuit

With the Groove Circuit function, which is available in rekordbox, it’s easy to create remixes by simply pressing the dedicated buttons. This enables DJs to replace the drum parts of a track – even while it’s playing – with different drum loops, changing them into different genres and performing unique remixes effortlessly. And, by applying effects to the drum parts, it’s easy to create fills, build-ups, and breakdowns. *The Groove Circuit function is only available on rekordbox for Mac/Windows. *For rekordbox for iOS/Android, the function is linked to the sampler and other functions. *For Serato DJ Pro, the function is linked to Stems FX (read on for more info).

Layout based on the latest club-standard DJ gear

The DDJ-GRV6 features large jog wheels that are ideal for scratching, 8 Performance Pads which are positioned above the jogs – just as they are on the flagship CDJ-3000 multi player – and Beat FX in the mixer section is now equipped with a CH Select button from the DJM-A9. All this means DJs can play with a feeling similar to using club-standard equipment, and perform dynamically by combining expressive scratching with pad and effect techniques that are perfect for club sets.

Smart Rotary Selector and Discover Function

The DDJ-GRV6’s new Smart Rotary Selector offers multi-directional control (up/down, left/right, rotate, and push) for easy navigation through media, playlists, and track lists when using rekordbox ver. 7 on Mac/Windows. The Discover button gives quick access to the Track Suggestion feature, available only on rekordbox for Mac/Windows.

Stems FX in Serato DJ Pro

The DDJ-GRV6 is compatible with Serato DJ Pro, which includes a Stems FX feature. DJs can express themselves musically by applying effects such as Roll, Trans, Echo Out, and Delay to the separate Stems of a track – drums, bass, vocal, or melody. Applying the overlay sheet included with the DDJ-GRV6 changes the button labels to Stems FX for ease of use.

Multi-device compatibility

DJs can choose to use the DDJ-GRV6 with not only rekordbox for Mac/Windows but also rekordbox for iOS/Android. You have freedom to DJ in your preferred style and in a variety of different settings. *The DDJ-GRV6 does not support Bluetooth® connections. *Only channels 1 and 2 are available for playback in rekordbox for iOS/Android.
