Live Control On The Go

The Akai Professional APC Key 25 Mk2 is a feature-packed and expressive MIDI keyboard controller in a compact footprint. The APC Key 25 Mk2 is an excellent companion to Ableton Live thanks to a host of dedicated controls, giving you immediate access to clip-launching functions and more. Whether you’re producing in your home studio or composing on the move, the APC Key 25 is ready to streamline your production workflow.

40 Backlit Pads

APC Key 25 Mk2 is equipped with 40 new RGB-backlit pads on a customisable 5x8 grid, providing you with direct control over your Ableton Live session clips. The scrollable RGB-enabled pad matrix provides a clear and dynamic representation of your clips, making them easy to see and navigate through both on stage and in the studio. With APC Key 25 Mk2 at your side, launching and activating loops, samples, melodies and whole Scenes becomes a seamless experience - even with large sessions.

Endless Encoders

In addition to the 40 pads, APC Key 25 Mk2 also features 8 endless 360-degree knobs. These encoders can be assigned for smooth control over a wide range of functions, including pan, volume, effect sends and more. With these knobs at your fingertips, tweaking parameters, writing automation and shaping sounds in your software synths becomes fluid and tactile.

In Device Mode, all eight of APC Key 25 Mk2’s knobs are automatically mapped to the eight Macro Controls of a selected device in Ableton Live. This functionality allows you to control multiple parameters at once with a single control. Soft Keys provide instant access to transport controls, including Solo, Mute Stop and Record arm.

Gen 2 Keybed

Akai Professional outfit the APC Key 25 with their advanced Gen 2 Dynamic Keybed. This design features 25 velocity-sensitive mini-keys and delivers expressive playability in a highly portable format. Octave Up/Down buttons let you traverse beyond the keyboard’s two-octave range whilst the dedicated Sustain button can hold notes, leaving both of your hands free for tweaking.

Live Lite
