Upgrades from the previous generation include the precision-engineered X-ART tweeter, which has been designed to minimise unwanted reflections and provide a detailed representation of your mix's high-end frequencies. Built To Reveal

The Adam Audio A Series' accelerated ribbon tweeter design gives you stellar high-frequency performance unlike any other studio monitor, delivering extreme dynamics throughout the frequency spectrum with minimal distortion. The HPS (high-frequency propagation system) waveguide technology is made from a new glass fibre polymer compound, allowing the X-ART tweeter to deliver wide and consistent stereo imaging. The waveguide can also be rotated depending on how you prefer to position your monitors in your studio. The woofer is crafted from MLM (multi-layer mineral stone fibres) and paired with a 1-inch voice coil for truly rugged durability, consistently robust sound response and solid imaging no matter where you're positioned.

Flared-port Design

Adam Audio's A Series boasts a flared-port design that reduces port noise and optimises airflow. This innovative industrial-inspired design provides lower extension and higher efficiency in a more compact form factor. The cabinets themselves feature deeper beveling that reduces diffraction and thick baffle walls that clamp down on cabinet vibrations. The latest A series models also offer four M8 threaded screw holes that make wall mounting a lot easier.

Deep Software Control

The A Series' DSP electronics ensure accurate and precise tuning and superior consistency compared to solely analogue speakers. When connected via an ethernet cable, your A Series monitor's firmware can be regularly updated with new features and capabilities. Using the free A Control software, you can control multiple monitors remotely and in real-time, access EQ settings, voicing modes and more - all through your compatible Windows or macOS computer.

This platform also supports filters from the renowned company Sonarworks. Used in tandem with the Sonarworks SoundID Reference software and a measurement mic, you can create a custom calibration curve based on your room. This can then be run directly into your A Series monitors.

Voicings

All A Series monitors feature an array of “voicings”, which are pre-defined sound profiles that can be tweaked further with the Room Adaptation EQ settings. “Uniform Natural Response” or “UNR” provides a dynamic response curve with a natural sound that's derived from Adam Audio's legacy studio monitors. This voicing's engaging and present character is suited to producing, composing and songwriting as well as casual music listening. “Pure” is a super accurate, neutral voicing that's tailored to mixing, mastering and critical listening sessions where an honest representation is needed.

Efficient Amplification

The Adam Audio A series is equipped with superb Class D amplifiers that are designed to produce a perfectly linear performance that minimises distortion. These amplifiers were specially chosen by Adam Audio for their remarkable power and efficiency when it comes to sound and energy use. The AB amplifiers assigned to the tweeters and midrange drivers were optimised through extensive research and development and thorough listening sessions. The result is a fine-tuned amplifier that's highly optimised for its working range, ensuring a smoother, more natural reproduction of high and mid-range frequencies.

Adapt To Any Room

Adam Audio understand that for the modern producer, their home studio space can also double as a living room, bedroom, etc. That's why the A series allows you to adjust your sound via the four bands of Room Adaption equalisation on the back plate - Bass, Desk, Presence and Treble. This easy-to-use feature compensates for common speaker placements, such as near a wall or a reflective surface such as a desk, that can negatively impact the sound. You don't need to be in a professionally-treated recording studio to get the best sound out of your A Series monitors, simply select the appropriate EQ setting to compensate for your room's acoustics.
