We've taken in some amazing Gibson Les Pauls lately and this Traditional in heritage cherry burst is no exception! It has been beautifully played in over the past six years and has developed beautiful checking across the body - this is a great way to obtain a genuine 'relic' without spending the big bucks.
The guitar is crafted with a mahogany body topped with AA-grade flamed maple top which creates a visually striking tiger-stripe effect, beautifully enhanced by the heritage cherry sunburst finish. The guitar is accented with cream binding, adding a vintage aesthetic that complements its retro appeal. Its mahogany neck features a rounded profile, designed for smooth and comfortable playability. The neck construction supports fluid hand movement and enhances the guitar's tonal warmth, producing rich, saturated highs and a thick low-end. The rosewood fingerboard contributes additional brightness to the highs and opens up the midrange, creating a well-balanced tonal profile.
Equipped with BurstBucker pickups, the Les Paul Traditional combines vintage tone with modern power. The BB1 pickup at the neck offers low output for a sweet tone, while the medium-output BB2 pickup at the bridge adds a bold punch. Together, they emulate the iconic PAF humbucker sound. These pickups are controlled through hand-wired volume and tone pots with orange drop capacitors, providing precision and tonal consistency. The ABR tune-o-matic bridge offers excellent string stability and sustain, ensuring reliable performance and easy adjustability. It maximizes vibration transfer for vintage-inspired tones.
The addition of a TekToid graphite nut enhances harmonics in the mid and upper frequency range, reducing friction to improve tuning stability and sustain. The guitar's construction includes a set-in neck design for seamless integration between the neck and body. Its nickel hardware, locking kidney tuners, and gold top hat knobs with pointers add to its high-quality finish and classic aesthetic.
