Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster, 2021, Second-Hand Overview
Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster Oxblood Product Overview
From the influential '90s alternative scene to contemporary alt-heavy rock, Troy Van Leeuwen has consistently delivered deft, textural guitar work and atmospherics for some of the most acclaimed and forward-thinking bands. His multi-instrumental expertise has added color and power to the music of Failure, A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Puscifer, and more.
The Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster guitar is as distinctive as the sounds he creates with it. Its gloss Oxblood finish, paired with a four-ply red tortoiseshell pickguard, is darkly alluring and uniquely contrasted by two white “witch hat” control knobs. The dual tone circuits (lead and rhythm) are operated by a two-way toggle switch on the upper horn instead of the traditional slider switch. This model features a brass-saddle Mustang bridge combined with a Jazzmaster tailpiece.
Additional features include:
- A maple neck with a “C”-shaped profile and heel-end truss rod adjustment.
- A 7.25" radius bound rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets and pearloid block inlays.
- Two American Vintage '65 Jazzmaster single-coil pickups with three-way toggle switching.
- Vintage-style tuners.
This guitar is designed to match Van Leeuwen’s distinctive style and the rich, atmospheric sounds he is known for.
