The ESP LTD JM-II Josh Middleton signature guitar is built for the demanding needs of progressive metal and metalcore, reflecting the style of Josh Middleton, guitarist of Sylosis and Architects.
It features a bolt-on construction with an alder body and a stunning quilted maple top, finished in Black Shadow Burst. The neck is a three-piece roasted maple with an extra-thin U-shaped profile, designed for speed and comfort, while the fingerboard is made of Macassar ebony with 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets for smooth playability and durability. For electronics, the guitar is equipped with Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker pickups, with an alnico magnet in the neck and a ceramic magnet in the bridge. These pickups come with a push-pull control, allowing players to select different voicings, making it versatile for both clean and heavy tones.
The hardware includes LTD locking tuners for excellent tuning stability and a recessed Gotoh Tune-O-Matic (TOM) bridge with a string-thru-body design for better sustain and a solid playing feel.
